Removal of forklift truck and 1.4T machine from second floor building

Working on a Saturday morning to minimise factory down time, the team moved a forklift and 1.4T textile fibre opening machine from the upper floor of the manufacturer’s building to the ground floor.

Having positioned the wagon for the lift, the team cordoned off the area and then, in line with BS7121 code of practice for the safe use of cranes, the equipment was carefully slung and lowered to the ground floor using our vehicle mounted Fassi 820.

Taking place in the heart of Birmingham, J Exley project managed and facilitated the relocation of a recycling plant picking line that spanned over 30 meters long on two levels. Over a period of 8 weeks, the team match marked, dismantled, loaded, and relocated the picking line to the new site 20 miles away.
